Review: Eye Studio Maybelline Color Eye Tattoos
These have recently landed in Australia and I was so excited when I first saw them, I actually started jumping up and down because they have been raved about so much in the Youtube community I was dieing to get my hands on one of them!
Maybelline says that these involve their new 'ink technology' which provides a super pigmented color and does not crease.
I've picked up 3 shades, because I'm honestly not going to wear all of the 9 shades they have on a regular basis as some of them are really bright.
The shades that I have are:
- Too Cool ( 05 ) which is a pearly white colour with small specks on shimmer in it
- Bad to the Bronze ( 25 ) which is a medium bronze colour with shimmer
- Bold Gold ( 45 ) which is just a gold with shimmer
Haha! As you can tell I'm really bad at describing items, but oh well :)

| Top Left is Bad to the Bronze Top Right is Too Cool and Bottom Center is Bold Gold * As you can tell I've used these! Sorry! :(* |
Price
In Australia these retail for $11.95 at Priceline, I've heard that there around $6 in America. I think the price is really decent for a Australian Eyeshadow as its really versatile. But I normally buy all my products on sale where I can.
Pigmentation, Texture, Color
The color which i got had quite good pigmentation, although i honestly thought that the 'Tool Cool' shade was not very pigmented and actually went on quite sheer. I found that when applying the product to my eyes I had to constantly build up the color to get the intensity that I hoped for from the eyeshadow.
Bad to the Bronze and Bold Gold are really pigmented colors, they last all day. The texture of the eyeshadow were really creamy, nice to work with although hard to blend if you don't work with it fast enough, but if i were to wear them i would just apply it as a base and work around that so it wasn't that much of a problem for me :)
The color range is a tad disappointing if you like natural everyday looks, as most of the colors they provide in the range are very bright and vibrant. I'm hoping to get ' Tough as Taupe' and ' Pomegranate Punk' soon!

| Swatches of all 3 colors I have! Left to Right; Too Cool, Bold Gold, Bad to the Bronze |
- Tenacious Teal ( 40 ) This is a bright blue color
- Fierce and Tangy ( 10 ) This is the bright orange color
- Audacious Asphalt ( 15 ) This is the dark grey color, it has a metallic finish
- Painted Purple ( 20 ) This is the Purple color, and by testing out the testers I didn't like the consistency of this one, I found I couldn't blend it and the texture wasn't as creamy as the other ones, but none the less its a really pretty color! :)
- Bad to the Bronze ( 25 ) A nice medium bronze color, prefect for a natural day look if applied not too heavily! This has to be my fave!
- Pomegranate Punk ( 30 ) A muted maroon brown color!
- Tough as Taupe ( 35 ) This is a light grey-ish brown color, it looks quite light in the packaging but when I tried it in store it a lot darker than I expected! Also this color does not have shimmer in it as i re call, I might be wrong though but It's not as shimmery as the other ones in the collection.
- Bold Gold ( 45 ) A yellow gold toned color with alot of shimmer in it!
- Edgy Emerald ( 50 ) A cool green color!
* Just a note, after a day of the swatches on my hand they are still on my hand and haven't budged that much! I highly recommend these if you want your eye makeup staying on all day :)
